The Commodore Conyers College and Career Academy has been buzzing with entrepreneurial energy this December, as students in the Georgia Foundational Leadership & Entrepreneur X-perience (FLEX) program took major steps toward business success in Workshops 2 and 3!
December 5th: FLEX Workshop 2
Led by marketing instructor Stephanie Hall, Corey Holman (Owner of Grace Life Marketing), and Marvin Oliver (Director of Business Relations at Albany Dougherty Economic Development Commission), this session was packed with actionable insights for the 10 business finalists. Students explored:
- Effective marketing techniques and sales strategies
- The power of a strong social media presence and branding
- How exceptional customer service builds lasting success
A major highlight? Students had the chance to engage in one-on-one conversations with the facilitators, receiving personalized advice tailored to their unique business ideas.
December 12th: FLEX Workshop 3
The momentum continued with FLEX Workshop 3, where students had the privilege of learning from Hal Wiley, one of the program's visionary founders. Hal’s inspiring message emphasized the program's mission to empower young entrepreneurs and transform lives.
Students worked on critical business-building skills, including:
- Crafting compelling elevator pitches
- Understanding sound financial principles
- Creating impactful commercials to elevate marketing efforts
- Connecting with target audiences for effective sales strategies
By the end of these workshops, students left feeling more confident, prepared, and motivated to take their businesses to the next level.
