Albany-Dougherty Leaders Celebrate LMC Ag’s 25 Years of Innovation and Impact

December 7, 2025

Albany-Dougherty County is proud to celebrate a major milestone for one of its longstanding industrial partners. LMC Ag, a leading manufacturer of high-quality agricultural equipment, is marking 25 years in business—a quarter-century of innovation, craftsmanship, and economic contribution to Georgia’s #1 industry.

Founded in 2000 and located on South Slappey Boulevard, LMC Ag has grown into a nationally respected producer of sprayers, spreaders, planters, and applicators engineered and built right here in Albany. Their work supports farmers and agribusinesses across the country, playing a critical role in strengthening agricultural productivity and sustainability.

LMC Ag operates a modern 46,000-square-foot facility staffed by highly skilled technicians, welders, fabricators, and engineers. This team embodies the resilience and quality of the Albany-Dougherty workforce—one of the region’s greatest competitive advantages.

Under the leadership of General Manager Leandro Dos Santos (Lee Santos), the company continues to invest in research and development, technology, and workforce training. These efforts ensure LMC Ag remains a vital contributor to the region’s manufacturing economy and a key player in the state’s agricultural landscape.

In honor of this milestone, the City of Albany issued an official proclamation recognizing LMC Ag’s contributions to local industry, workforce development, and community progress. The proclamation celebrates the company’s investment in the region, impact on the agricultural sector, and ongoing commitment to innovation and community engagement.

The Albany Herald highlighted the celebration, capturing remarks from local leaders and members of the economic development community. ADEDC was proud to join the City of Albany in recognizing LMC Ag’s legacy and its role in shaping the future of manufacturing and agriculture in the region. Read the full story:
