Albany Steps Into the Spotlight with New Film THE FORGE

Albany is making its mark in the film industry as THE FORGE, a new movie by Sony Pictures’ AFFIRM Films, Provident Films, and the Kendrick Brothers, is now streaming everywhere. Filmed at locations throughout Dougherty County, including Cornerstone Coffee + Co, Ray Charles Plaza, and Downtown Albany, this faith-filled drama highlights Albany's unique backdrop and warm community.

THE FORGE tells an inspiring story about the power of mentorship, set in the same cinematic universe as War Room. Director Alex Kendrick shared, “Our hope is that audiences around the world will recognize the pivotal role that Godly mentorship plays in shaping the next generation.” With Albany’s community and diverse scenery now on the big screen, the region looks forward to welcoming even more productions in the future.
