Albany State University

Albany State University, a proud member institution of the University System of Georgia, elevates its community and region by offering a broad array of graduate, baccalaureate, associate, and certificate programs at its main campuses in Albany as well as at strategically placed branch sites and online. The university was founded in 1903 by Dr. Joseph W. Holley and is one of 8 HBCUs in Georgia. The school has nearly 6,000 students enrolled.

Albany Technical College

Albany Technical College, a public two-year institution of the Technical College System of Georgia, prepares individuals to meet dynamic and evolving workforce needs by utilizing industry-driven teaching and learning approaches including traditional, online, and customized business solutions. 

Albany Technical College offers:

  • More than 70 certificates of credit

  • More than 40 diplomas

  • Over 25 associate degrees 

As an additional service to area businesses, Albany Tech also provides non-credit, customized training for business & industry by working directly with the company to identify new-hire and incumbent-worker needs and delivering company-specific solutions. Other industry targeted training includes green–black belt-level Lean Six Sigma certification, PMI project management courses, and specialized manufacturing support training on both credit and non-credit basis.
